Black Creek Farm
We are a small scale chemical free farm using only natural fertilizers and insect control. Implementing sustainable practices in order to build and feed the soil that feeds the plants that feed us all. People lived off the land for millennia with out modern chemical inputs. We hope to help prove that this is direction that all modern farming should pursue. When talking to “conventional” farmers about the pro’s and con’s of attempting organic production, they often use the term ‘traditional’ when talking about their out dated soil destroying techniques. Disregarding the soil that is producing your food is not traditional at all. Only implementing natural practices is actually ‘traditional’. Only building the soil’s tilth and fertility is actually ‘traditional’. Although we may use some modern conveniences like a tractor or a garden hose, here at Black Creek, our farming practices actually are Truly Traditional.
